Why Doug Liman deserves a Nobel Prize AND the Irving Thalberg Award

The director of Jumper continues making the sci-geek rounds, and gives a candid interview to io9. The first thing out of his mouth is a gem of unintentional hilarity:

io9: What was the most challenging aspect of making a film that involved teleportation?

Liman: We did everything for real.

Yeah, I'd imagine reconstituting the physical laws of the universe would be pretty challenging. And while staying on budget? Hell, he's Einstein and Thalberg rolled into one!

Liman then goes on to detail his next sci-nematic stunner:

The premise of the movie is about a group that mounts a private expedition to not only go to the moon, but also to colonize it. It's set present day, and it is not science fiction, it's science fact.

Does NASA know about this? Seeing as how Liman doesn't shy from a challenge when making his movies and all... he's probably got the rockets ready to go.
